What is a learning coach, and how is it different from a tutor?

A learning coach supports students with the skills behind learning—like organisation, revision techniques, time management, mindset, and motivation. While a tutor often focuses on one subject, a learning coach helps students become more independent and confident learners across all areas.

What ages or year groups do you work with?

We typically work with students from Year 9 through to Year 13, including those preparing for GCSEs, A-Levels, or transitioning to university. Support can also be tailored for students earlier or later in their academic journey.

How do sessions work?

All sessions are one-to-one and tailored to the student’s needs. They are held online and are usually 45 minutes  to 1 hour long. There is an option to begin with a free taster session to discuss goals and see if the service is a good fit

What is a learning consultation?

A learning consultation is a stand alone session where we work to identify the student’s learning habits, challenges, and strengths. It helps us create a personalised plan and is a great starting point even if you’re not sure what support is needed yet.

We offer one-to-one support to help students plan, write, and refine their UCAS personal statements—highlighting their strengths and interests in a clear, confident way.
